• I have the blog installed here:
    http://www.bly.com/blog/blog.htm
a client has emailed me with the following question/ problem:
“I attempted to add your RSS 2.0 feed to my aggregator
and found that WordPress is generating a
different file than a normal rss.xml or index.xml.
When I clicked on it I got the normal XML code,
but the source file does not change, causing news
    aggregators not to find it.”
can anyone help me with an answer ?

  • I just tried your RSS feed and it worked fine for me. I use SharpReader as a aggregator.
    Regards

Seems to work fine in all mine, too.

No problem here either. WordPress employs PHP files (wp-rss2.php, etc.) to retrieve and present the RSS information as XML. This should cause no problem with any aggregator that has been updated in the past two years.

thanks – I was able as well — but wanted to make sure I was not the only one.

I use intravnews and I get “No Content received” when I try to add this blog (and all of mine) to the subscribed feeds. I do not get this problem in other readers. Also, I can subscribe to the comments feed just fine.
