What feed url did you actually add to the RSS widget?
This is the one I got from feedburner:
<a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/BHRaceTalk" title="Subscribe to my feed" rel="alternate"><img src="http://www.feedburner.com/fb/images/pub/feed-icon32x32.png" alt="" style="border:0"/></a><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/BHRaceTalk" title="Subscribe to my feed" rel="alternate">Subscribe in a reader</a>
[Please post code or markup snippets between backticks or use the code button. Your posted code may now have been permanently damaged by the forum’s parser.]
There’s nothing obviously wrong with that markup and the feed url is correct but I’d suggest that you use:
<a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/BHRaceTalk" title="Subscribe to my feed" rel="alternate"><img src="http://www.feedburner.com/fb/images/pub/feed-icon32x32.png" alt="Subscribe to BHRaceTalk at Feedburner" style="border:0"/></a><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/BHRaceTalk" title="Subscribe to my feed" rel="alternate">Subscribe in a reader</a>
Is it your intent to simply show items from your own Feedburner feed on your site? Or are you trying to give people an option to actually subscribe to your feed via Feedburner? If so, that code isn’t the markup you need.
Thank you, I am trying to give people a place to subscribe to the feed. I will have to do some more research with feedburner. Thanks
Where would I find the info to plug in and create an RSS feed for a subscription button?
ok, I downloaded it, now, this is probably a dumb question, but how do I insert this into my widget column. I got a folder with quite a few files in it. Which one “does the magic?
Thanks for your help
