Additional question:
I have placed the following shortcode within cookies policy page where the user can click on it to revoke non-functional cookies:
[cmplz-revoke-link text=”Don’t want non-functional cookies? Revoke your settings!”]
Will the non-functional cookies get deleted from his device/browser after clicking on that link/shortcode? (stored by initially accepting all of them)
Thank you!

Hi @pickme,
Do I understand correctly that your website targets the US?
By default, Complianz will provide an Accept/Deny button if you configure for GDPR (EU) and just an accept button for CCPA (US).
For the EU, non-functional cookies and scripts are blocked before consent, so action from the user is needed before placing them. The user can then revoke via the settings tab (below in the browser screen) or via the revoke buton in the Cookie Policy.
For the US, all cookies and scripts are placed by default. A banner is only needed to inform the user of the fact that your website utilizes cookies and to direct them to legal documents with more information and instructions on how to revoke their settings. Placing a ‘deny/revoke’ button on the banner is by default not possible with Complianz and not required by US Privacy legislation. If you feel that you want to make it easier to withdraw consent you could use the shortcode you mentioned to create a button, in the footer of your website for example.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,
Leon
