    hi, there

I was told that “half-highlighted star you mentioned is displaying correctly based on the product’s average rating. WooCommerce automatically shows a half-filled or partially highlighted star when the product rating is not a whole number, such as 4.3 or 4.5. This is normal behavior and not an issue with the theme”

Just want to confirm with the woocommerce plugin supporter that it is normal or not? As i can see for a particular product with full 5 star review still get only half star

  • Hi @grapelover,

I understand you’re noticing that even when a product has all 5-star reviews, the display still shows a half-highlighted star. Let me clarify how this works. WooCommerce calculates the average rating based on all submitted reviews, and the stars shown on the product page reflect that average. When a product has at least one review with less than 5 stars, the average may be something like 4.8 or 4.9, which visually rounds to a half star. However, if every review truly has a 5-star rating, then all stars should display as fully filled.

To confirm what’s happening, please share your site’s URL so we can take a closer look at how the rating is being displayed. It would also help if you could share your System Status Report (SSR). You can get this by going to WooCommerce → Status → Get system report, then click Copy for support, and paste the full report into a tool like https://pastebin.com, https://quickforget.com, or https://gist.github.com and share the link here. Alternatively, you can also share a screenshot of what you’re seeing on your end using a tool like https://snipboard.io.

You can also check your product’s rating data by navigating to Products → Edit Product → Product Data → Advanced tab to ensure the average rating matches the review entries. For more details about how WooCommerce calculates and displays product ratings, please check this guide: https://woocommerce.com/document/product-reviews/

Once you share your URL, SSR, or screenshot, we can better determine whether this is a data, theme, or caching-related display issue.
