Reverting to pre-hacked post versions

    I’ve had spammers get into my WordPress site and add a few hundred edits with out links to the posts on my site.

    I haven’t made any changes to my site since the hack that I need to save and I host with HostGator.

    Anyway, what would you do to clean the spam off your site?

    Is there a plugin that can erase revisions after X date and restore the pages/posts on the site to what was there before the hack?

    It appears that they broke in more than a month ago.

    Get a fresh cup of coffee, take a deep breath and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

    If you’re unable to clean your site(s) successfully, there are reputable organizations that can clean your sites for you. Sucuri and Wordfence are a couple.
