Retrieve user IP address

Hi to all members 🙂

I had a question that maybe you can help me to solve. I would like to Retrieve user IP address in the UM Registration Form, but there is no field for this at UM.

I went to: https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/33-retrieve-user-ip-address and to https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/1297-umuserip, but can’t understand how to use this at Registration Form.

Could anyone give me a hand to add this hidden IP adress field at Registration Form please?

You can use the Browser Detect plugin in the link:
https://github.com/ultimatemember/Extended

It has 3 fields
– User IP Address
– User Operating System
– User Web Browser

Hi again @champsupertramp I uploaded the file um-browser-detect thru FTP, but then I went into wordpress plugin for activating it and is not there. Did I miss something? Thank you and sorry for bothering 🙂

Hi @champsupertramp, I’m really sorry for wrtting back, but I added the plugin thru FTP, then I added the fields at Registration Form (IP, Web Browser and OS) then I registered to test the form and got this:

IP:(empty)
Sistema Operativo OS:(empty)
Navegador Web Browser:(empty)

What can be wrong? Hasn’t got much config, it very simple adding those at registration form, but doesn´t get those user details.

Did you try adding Browser Detect fields from the Predefined Fields?

I’ve made changes to the Browser Detect plugin to remove the selections of fields from the “Setup New Field” section.
