Retrieve old content

    Hi!
    I had a previous site posted…without thinking I pulled all the folders/file and stuffed them into a folder to sit on a shelf.
    I have no deployed a new template and begun rebuilding… What i didn’t do was grab the text that populated my portfolio projects. Is there any way to get this text by sifting through the files that I have shelved?

    Forgive me Fexin, I’m not versed well on this stuff but somehow manage to make it work.
    Are you refering to what I probably backed up through my wordpress dashboard?

    The current website works.

    I have the old directory stored on my harddrive…Is it possible to get the old data off of it? Like navigate to a folder and find the pages and their content?

    i have a similar problem i think. i went into the admin panel to update some info and i saw options to change theme appearance so i tried it and when i did, i seem to have lost all my content and pages and everything but the blog page. so i changed back to the original theme hoping it would all come back but it didnt… is there anyway to find old content and pages and get it back somehow?
