The search looks through the post_content and post_title. Which data in particular are you wanting it to search?
Searching the attached doc won’t happen though – looking around it requires extra server software and some less-supported PHP functions like shell_exec to parse http://davidwalsh.name/read-pdf-doc-file-php That would be a nightmare to support I think.

Does the entire resume page read as post_content? Using the search, I’m only able to bring back results pertaining to:
candidate name
resume title
resume location
When I search for terms present in the resumes of the candidates, I always get a null set result.
For instance, I have a candidate named “Mimi Henderson”, whose resume title is “Client Expert”, who lives in Hoover, AL, USA, and whose professional expertise revolves around sales with the word “sales” appearing in numerous places on her resume.
If I search for “mimi”, I find her.
If I search for “client”, I find her.
If I search for “hoover”, I find her.
But if I search for “sales”, I DON’T find her.
The problem is that “sales” is what most of my clients will enter into the field when they want to find Mimi.
How do I achieve that?
In the example above, I’m referencing the text resume entered on the site, not the attached resume uploaded to the site.
Would a premium plugin like this one https://searchwp.com/ seem to be what I want?

Btw, topic tangent — I hired a contractor to develop resume bookmarking functionality, bc I need that as well before I can release the Resume Manager; they’re just about done with a usable version of the bookmarking, and I’ll send you the code as a private message once it’s done.
