Restricted Shop Manager access

I’m trying to create a new WooCommerce role.

With WordPress and WooCommerce by default, it isn’t possible to create a new user role. Are you using a plugin for this? It might be a better idea to post this question to the support forum of that particular plugin.

One of my employee is going to ship orders and so he needs access to the order list and should be able to change their status to “order shipped”.

However, I don’t want him to have a complete access to woocommerce settings.

I used “role and capabilities”, but it is necessary to tick “manage woocommerce” which give a complete access to settings.

Do you know how to create a role with access to orders but nothing else ?

If you’re using User Role Editor plugin – you can leave manage_woocommerce checkbox un-ticked and only tick edit_shop_orders and edit_shop_order checkboxes.

That way, only orders tab will appear in wp-admin.

Ticking manage_woocommerce checkbox will result in the whole WooCommerce tab appearing in wp-admin.
