Hi racheltest,
Thank you for reaching out!
To give you the most accurate solution, could you please clarify what you mean by “files”?
Knowing this will help us understand your specific setup and provide the correct method for restricting access.
We look forward to your response!
Best regards,

Hi Brianvu-tp,
The downloadable materials that we can add to the course.
Hi racheltest,
Thank you for clarifying!
You can allow users to access a course’s content, including the materials, without enrolling or paying. To do this, please follow these steps:
- Navigate to your course editor in the WordPress dashboard.
- In the “Course Settings” section, find the option for “No requirement enrollment”.
- Enable this option.
Once this setting is enabled, users can view and download the course materials without having to enroll.
Please note: When you enable this feature, it means the course will essentially be free and accessible to everyone. The “Buy Now” button will be removed, as there is no longer a purchase requirement.
Best regards,
Brianvu-tp
How about if we do not want those who are not enrolled to access the files? We want to add a restriction so those who are not enrolled will not be able to download the course materials even if they try to load them using the file URL.
Hi racheltest,
Thank you for clarifying your request!
What you are asking for is the default and intended behavior of LearnPress’s Downloadable Materials feature.
When you add files to the “Downloadable materials” section of a course in the course editor, these files are automatically restricted to enrolled users only.
So, to achieve your goal, you don’t need to change any specific settings. Just add your files to the “Downloadable materials” section, and LearnPress will handle the rest by default.
Best regards,
