    Hi guys,

awesome plugin! However, there is one thing I cannot sort out myself. On pages like this http://www.patent-pilot.com/en/obtaining-a-patent/what-is-a-patent/ I have a link in the sidebar. I want it to be visible to everyone. When clicking on the link, I want user who are not logged in to see a message like “You have to register to download”.

How can I get this done?

    Your help is much appreciated!

I see the download is active for guests too, looks like you already figured it our what to do 🙂

No, not really. It’s now active for everyone (including guests), but I want guests to receive a notice that they have to register before the can download.

But when I restrict access for the file, the link is gone. I’d still like to show the link, but make people register…

Any idea how I can get this done, Shaon?

In that case you need to remove “All Visitors” from access field and select other roles you want to allow download:

And you can setup the display message from wpdm settings page.
