Restrict Categories Based on User Role

    I want to use restrict user access to make certain categories visible only to customers assigned to a Wholesale user role. However, when I am editing this access level, and select Categories from the drop-down menu “Select Content Type”, I am unable to propagate the search box with any of my categories. It just says “Searching…” and will not take manual entries.

    Any ideas for how to hide product categories based on user role?

    Thank you for reporting this.

    It sounds like an incompatibility with another plugin. Would it be possible for you to deactivate them one by one to find out if this is the case?

    Restrict User Access lets you restrict access to products in a specific category, but unfortunately it does not hide the products from archive pages, widgets, menus or other lists. This is on the roadmap.
