Restoring Posting Permisions To Defaults

OK, I messed about with plugins to change the things that authors and contributors can do.

Basically I messed it up completly and now need to revert the permissions to the wordpress defaults. Is there a way for me to do this?

I’m pulling my hair out so any help or pointers would be ace.
