    Hi ankitsinghudaipur,

Not quite – it backs up every time you save the document. This is the behavior as it was from WPide.

There was an issue with the backup folder being in the wrong location after the refactor of the codebase when it became AceIDE. The current version is no longer affected, and the backup directory sits in the plugin’s base directory.

Currently, there is a button to display file backups on the interface. However, there is one big problem with it – it only displays backups generated from saves since the page has been loaded. That means that when you refresh, you lose track of all these backups that have been created, on the interface. The backup files still exist, however you can not see them from the restore functionality of the editor. This is also remaining behavior of WPide.

I am slowly working towards amending the above. Perhaps I will end up changing it to work more like version control, I am unsure at the moment whether/how I will change the backup system. But I’m slowly moving around the foundations to get there.

I hope this adequately answers your question, although rather late. I apologize for this.

    Kind Regards,
    Shane Thompson.
