• Before I enabled Wordfence Falcon Engine I saved the .htaccess file to my computer as the dialog box recommended.

It said I could easily restore this file making it seem like it would be a breeze. I cannot find a way to restore the file in Wordfence nor did I find a related help file on their site. What an oversight!

Anyway, I’d appreciate a step-by-step easiest/best way to restore the .htaccess file to my WordPress site from the one I have saved on my computer. Thank you!

Does anyone know how to do this? Does it require FTP? What if I don’t have access to my webhost/c-panel at the moment, can I still do FTP if it is required? Thanks!

    Hi,

Yes, FTP would be required. You would connect to your site using FTP, locate the proper directory, and then upload the .htaccess file.
