Restore from DropBox Help
-
I’m having some issue restoring/transferring over my website. I had been building a wordpress website locally, and had transferred “rough draft” of it to a temporary url/host server. I made some changes to the website while it was hosted on this temporary server and saved the “final draft” of it to the drop box, thinking that was all I needed to transfer it over to a new server.
That temporary url expired and all now I have of the finished website is the backup I saved in my dropbox. I’m now having trouble “restoring” the website to the new host.
Have I been an idiot and missed a set somewhere along the line (is the dropbox zip not enough to restore the website)? I have managed to restore the theme to the new wordpress/host server, but I am unable to locate my pages/data specifics. I have been using FTP and FileZilla to do so, but I must be missing something.
If the dropbox version is enough to restore everything (changes to theme, plugins, pages, etc.), can someone provide me with specifics on how to get everything to transfer over? I did briefly try using MyPHPAdmin, but I was only able to locate one SQL file within the DropBox Zip, and the admin upload does not seem to want to take it (keeps coming up with syntax errors).Help!! Please and thank you.
