    Hello,

Sorry I cannot share the page I need help with, but I can share the log file. The restore failed due to some permissions missing – but the website looks and is completely ok. I am not sure how to remedy this and the files that could not be uploaded do not seem relevant but still I am not sure that the log file shows every single file that was not uploaded or partially uploaded. Also can I do a checkup for corrupted files. Or maybe just restore again once the permissions are set up properly? Please advise.

    Hi,

It appears to be a file permission/ownership issue, meaning UpdraftPlus or WordPress does not have the correct read or write permission to a certain folder.

The following article on Smashing Magazine is a good guide as to the file permissions/ownerships that are required for WordPress: https://www.smashingmagazine.com/2014/05/proper-wordpress-filesystem-permissions-ownerships/#file-and-folder-ownership-for-wordpress

Also, could check that there is more than enough space for the backup files to be extracted?

    Kind Regards,
    Bryle

    Hello,

But does this mean I need to redo the permissions and restore again? The site seems to be working fine. There is enough room. If those are the only files not uploaded I can disregard it? Or is there an option they could become corrupted or the logs not showing a complete list of files that were not actually restored properly?

    Regards

The log indicates nothing was done, because of permissions. i.e. Things are as they were before you attempted to restore, no change.

N.B. If you update to a more recent version of UD, then the log has extra information in it that helps with diagnosis (it logs the file ownerships involved).

    Hi,

    Has this issue been resolved?
