restoration wont work

So I backed up my website on one site which probably took an hour even though that website is in mere MBs. anyway so after I shut my system down and came back after a few hours, I so that it was backed up. so now used this backed up URL to restore on another website and same thing happens here. on clicking, it takes me to a white page and I keep waiting and waiting, but nothing happens
