Sure. This depends on your theme. Needs CSS on both the front-end and in the editor.

I’m using the Suffusion theme. Could you please give me some hints about the correct custom CSS required for the tables to be responsive?
I usually use simple 2×2 tables to split up the layout in columns/rows and I’d like them to adjust automatically when the page is visited from a mobile device.

Nice! Maybe it’ll be easier with a plugin instead of some manual coding. Would the Magic Liquidizer work with other objects as well (not only tables)? Unfortunately the demo video don’t seem to be available 🙁

The demo is still not available. The reason for the question above is the following text…
“is just one of many features of Magic Liquidizer for a complete Responsive Web Design solution such as images, texts, forms, tables, navigation menu, and other HTML elements.”
Maybe ask (nicely!) the theme’s author to add some CSS to make the tables responsive? That’s not very simple.

Not sure what you mean. Mustn’t the tables be handled individually?
Concerning “Magic Liquidizer” that @peopleinside recommended. I have tried to contact the author, but no responses there. Has someone actually any experience of that plug in (which seems quite dead)?
@lensv what seems to be quite dead? The plug in Magic Liquidizer Responsive Table has been updated 3 weeks ago and for me works very well. You can try to install than check your website mobile version and check the table if is inline with the mobile theme.
If this not help you you may want find an other solution 🙂
Have a great time!

Hehe, maybe it died three weeks ago then. A broken demo video and no responses to mail made me come to that conclusion 😉
I just realized now that there is a major “Magic Liquidizer” software, containing several of the free plugins (which may explain the confusing text above). If this tool could actually make an entire unresponsive site become responsive I’d love to buy it… Too bad though that the author don’t want to communicate 🙁
