Hi there – thanks for the great plugin Tobias!

Just a quick bug report… it seems that the responsive extension throws a jQuery error on scrolling tables that have the #colspan# tag in them, which results in the responsive functionality not working.

Not sure if there’s a way to fix this?

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

The reason for this is that the jQuery library that TablePress uses does not support tables with merged/combined cells. Thus, you can not use it with tables that have #colspan#. As an alternative, you could use the scroll mode of the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/ which can add horizontal scrolling without using JavaScript.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thanks for the reply Tobias… I thought that’s what I had done. But I’ve just realised I was using the ‘collapse’ option for the Extension rather than the ‘scroll’ option! My bad!

Changed it to scroll and the Javascript error has disappeared.

Thanks for responding so quickly though!
