What you see in the WordPress media settings isn’t related to the thumbnail sizes of your WordPress theme. In order to have thumbnails display nicely on your site, you just need to ensure to upload images that meet at least the minimum requirements and WordPress will do the rest automatically. This covers all you need to know about uploading images:
If you want to have completely different sizes of thumbnails than what has been defined by your theme out of the box, then this would be something you need to code accordingly within a custom child theme. As an alternative you could try plugins for that purpose, for example: Simple Image Sizes.
I bought and downloaded the pro version of this theme but it still will not let me make the thumbnail photos a wee bit bigger for viewing. I want it to look like this https://www.mhthemes.com/demo/?theme=magazine but it is not letting me do it.

a WordPress theme won’t make your thumbnails bigger than what you’ve uploaded as an image. The thumbnail can be only as big as the original image you’ve uploaded. If you want thumbnails as shown in the demo, then you need to upload images that meet at least the minimum requirements as covered in the theme documentation.
By the way, commercial themes are not supported through the forums on WordPress.org. If you’ve purchased the premium theme and own a valid license for updates and support, you can send a support request through your MH Themes account and the support staff will be more than happy to answer your questions.

we read your feedback in the other thread and we would highly appreciate if you could correct that because what you wrote there unfortunately is not correct.
Have you followed the instructions regarding the image sizes? Can you please also specify what thumbnail exactly you mean? Are you referring to the slider or other widgets? If you mean the MH Custom Posts widget and in case you want the larger thumbnail, then you just need to enable excerpts with the particular option in the widget.
