Resetting Password – cannot confirm password

    Hi everyone:

    I needed to reset my password and got the e-mail providing me the link to allow me to reset the password and providing me with the temporary password.

    I put in the temporary password and then I am prompted to create a new password.

    I type in the new password in the “New Password” template, but then when I go to confirm the password in the “Confirm New Password” template, once I enter the first letter or key stroke, the original new password in “New Password” I entered is erased so I cannot sync the two up and am stuck here.

    I tried new browsers and that did not work. I am trying not to panic.

    similar issue on my site after upgrade to wordpress 4.3
    is related to some javascript magic in case your password reset form contains to fields “pass1” and “pass2”.
    After renaming the field “pass2” in my custom form it worked again.

    But the standard form for resetting the password now contains only one visible field “pass1” which is prefilled with a generated password. The confirmation field is no longer visible.
    The user can no longer enter a hidden password in case he doesn’t accept the generated one.
