resetting all passwords

    so I am assigned to edit a site made in wordpress. I don’t have login information and noone at the company has any clue what it is. the person who originally set up the site said he gave a new password to the company bladada. now noone is sure what the email address is or the password for the site. I have the password and user for the ftp, but not for wordpress. could someone please help me figure out how to reset this?

    IF you have access to myphpadmin, you can find it that way… if you don’t and have access to MySQL tools, you can at least find out what the admin’s email address is by viewing the sitemeta, or…. you could go into the server, turn off the mail daemon, and request a password reset, go into the mailroot queue and view the email message sent… it will provide you with a link to reset the password… use that, and then go back into the mailroot queue and checkout the email message (notepad ++ works) and you have the new password tot he site…

    P.S. by shutting down the mail daemon, the emails will not be sent, just dropped off in the queue
