A field is set as required, but when you click the PayPal button it goes through with the payment. It should go back to the top of checkout saying, “X is a required field.”

Could you please confirm that the option “Enable required validation override for address fields.” is enabled in the Locale override settings inside the Advanced Settings tab. If not, please enable the above-mentioned option and check whether the issue is getting resolved.
