Required Conditional Fields

    Hi there,
    I’ve read through similar posts that say it’s possible to have conditional fields be required and have forms be sent through even if it’s hidden.

    But no matter what I do, it seems that hidden conditional fields that are required still blocks the form from sending through for some reason.

    For example, I have two conditional groups of which only one will display depending on the selection. Both are required fields. It blocks the form from being sent through even if one is hidden.

    [group membership]Please provide your membership number
    [text* membershipnumber][/group]

    [group studentid]Please upload a copy of your Graduate Student identification document
    [file* file-850][/group]

    Could you check with the previous version of CF7 (5.3.2) ? (check sticky post for instructions)

    There’s currently a conflict with CF7 5.4

    Will do! Thanks for letting me know! Very much appreciated and I will update here shortly in case anyone else has the same issue.

    EDIT: in case anyone has the same issue and comes across this, rolling back contact form 7 version solved this.

    I confirm! With the update of CF7, even in my forms where there is the conditional group with mandatory “attach file” in the group not chosen. Blocks me from submitting the form
