Request: Visitor count for each post

This might be a little overkill for what you are asking, but look at Coldforged’s Asides Plugin. One of the ‘features’ is a post counter that gets hit each time a particular post is opened.

You can then display the top visited posts on your sidebar.

I’ve implemented this feature on my blog using WP 1.5, so I can vouch that it works.
