Request: Plugin Shutoff Time

    I was going through plugins to see what I don’t need, and realized I have plugins I use and deactivate. I really don’t want to delete them for the frequency I use them.

    I also noticed one of those plugins that I forgot to turn back off. Made me think “What if we had a shut-off option, so after X amount of days these get turned off?”

    It’s simply a checkbox or something that will disable (not delete) a plugin if it’s running for more than X days.

    WordPress Importer, Better Search Replace, HealthCheck & Troubleshooting, and Media Cleaner are some examples.

    That’s an interesting idea. I’d recommend starting by testing it with a custom plugin that adds this feature. That way, you can see how it works and how the community responds to it.
