It seems you have some JS errors on your website. Please press F12 and go to the Console tab, check and let us know JavaScript errors you see.
This kind of issue is usually caused by either conflict with other plugins or the active theme. Please deactivate the plugins one by one and check after each deactivation to find the problem maker one.
3. When the OP replies to a user who left a message for him, this message never gets to be sent to the user who left it.

1. I am glad the issue has been resolved but have some questions nevertheless, please correct me if I am wrong:
I have noticed that in order to receive all possible comments from a post, with this I refer to
being Notifed of : new replies to my comments
new follow-up comments
each user has to manually subscribed to each subscription option, which means he needs to confirm his subscription 2 times, after that, just then will receive every possible notifications about comments hence the 2 subscripion options, ¿is this understanding correct?
2. What happened to me was that a user only subscribed to this particular subscription option:
new replies to my comments
As a result he never received “new follow-up comments”, which are comments replying or following up previously made comments by the original poster (OP). ¿is this understanding correct?
3. Finally ¿is there a way to notify all users with both subscription options either “new replies to my comments” or “new follow-up comments” without having them to manually subscribed to every option one by one?
