Replace manual scripts by Plugin?

    Hi there!

    I’m currently working on our companies website and I dived into the problem that the Cookiebot scan showed me: ‘prior consent’ is not fully implemented.

    At the moment I read so much, that I know now how to fix it, but what I didn’t know is that there’s also a Plugin COokiebot now! Great work!

    So question: would you recommend changing from manual scripts to the plugin?
    Why would you recommend and what steps do I best take?

    Hi @zjwessa,

    I apologize for the delayed response.

    We generally recommend using the Plugin for WordPress users. Not only is this an easier method than manual implementation, but it also guarantees that the script is put in the right place, so that no cookies can slip though.

    I recommend removing all previous Cookiebot implementations (so you have a clean slate), get the latest version of the Cookiebot WordPress plugin, and input your CBID.
    The standard settings should work for most of our users.
