    Hi everyone,

I’m using WooCommerce with the Blocksy theme, and I want to replace the default product category page with a custom-built page while keeping the same URL. For example, instead of using the default www.site.com/product-category/watch, I created a new page and manually set its URL to match the default category page.

Will this cause any conflicts or issues with WooCommerce, such as 404 errors, SEO problems, or functionality loss? Also, what would be the best way to properly replace the default category page without breaking WooCommerce’s functionality?

I’d appreciate any advice or recommendations on how to achieve this the right way.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello juliandawn,

Thank you for contacting WooCommerce support.

I understand that you want to replace the default product category page with a custom-built page while keeping the same URL.

This approach can cause conflicts with WooCommerce’s URL structure.
A better approach is to modify the Product Archive template to match your custom design.
You can refer to Blocksy’s guide here: https://creativethemes.com/blocksy/docs/woocommerce/product-archives/.

For further assistance, you may contact Blocksy support or consult a developer through Codeable.io or WooExperts.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards.
