Hello drlabelle,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. If you do not wish to load our CSS, you can simply choose in the CSS style option to not load any of our plugins CSS and instead copy the code from our plugins CSS files to your theme.
This would be the best way as there is no easy way or filter to make our CSS files load in the footer.
Hi Harish,
Thanks for the response. No problem on the timing!
I unchecked the CSS option for each type of form individually which removed the google pagespeed warning for:
/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/assets/css/checkbox.min.css?ver=2.3.18
I still have the warning for:
/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/assets/css/form.min.css?ver=2.3.18
I was unable to find the “CSS style option” unless you’re referencing what I already did. Could you point me in the right direction? I’m just slightly better than amateur/noob with website design (I know just enough to get me in trouble).
Hey Drlabelle,
Can you please let me know which version of our plugin you are using? The free version only offers a single form. And to disable the plugins CSS, you need to go to “MailChimp for WP > Forms > Appearance (tab)” and then choose “Inherit from the theme name…” option and click “Save Changes” button.
That did the trick Harish!
No having to copy CSS. The form still looks fine after inheriting the CSS from my theme.
And yes, I’m on the free version.
I’m glad that worked drlabelle. If you run into any issues, please feel free to contact us again.
PS. Should you have a quick minute to spare, a plugin review here on WordPress.org would make us quite happy. 🙂
