Rename existing shop

Hi – I want to rename my shop page so that instead of showing ‘shop’ in the url it will now display ‘furniture’. What is the best way to do this? Can I create a new page called furniture and set it as my shop page and change the permalink? Will this have any consequences to any products in my shop? Thanks
