Removing wordpress from url

Hi

Setting up new site http://www.business-loans-info.co.uk & do not want /wordpress/ in the url

Have read through the steps shown in:

http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

I have edited the index.php file as instructed to remove the /wordpress/ section and re-uploaded to my server, but then just got error messages when I try to go to the url http://www.business-loans-info.co.uk so have had to change it back.

Any suggestions as to what I’m doing wrong?
