Removing proceed to checkout

I find the Gateway buttons to offer better experience to users so they don’t have to enter billing information on the web page vs. in Paypal.

Is there any downside to this approach? And there’s no easier way to do it then modifying the php?

And it’s in the customization section. Super helpful!
The only problem is that the mini-cart still shows a checkout button. So I also found this solution:
remove_action( ‘woocommerce_widget_shopping_cart_buttons’, ‘woocommerce_widget_shopping_cart_proceed_to_checkout’, 20 );
