Hi Tomas,
I’ve put a copy of header.php in my child theme and removed the pingback line but it still shows in the head on the site?

On my test it worked. Do you use any caching plugin or CDN?

No I don’t but now that you mention it I’m at WPEngine and I believe they do though I’m not sure of the details re: what, how long. It’s gone now so that must have been the issue. Thanks!

Right, but you made me think about it, because anyway I disable trackbacks from WP settings, so why not to remove one more reference from the header 🙂
