Removing Comments from Posts

    How do I remove comments from a post? I have gone into Settings->Discussion and tried to delete comments but the post shows a reply edit box. What I want is a post/page with no user entry box.

    Hi lostbits!

    Are you asking if you can delete the comments in general or just not display them on the front end? If you don’t want them to show, one way I can think of would be dependent on the way the theme is structured. Generally themes will use the template tag comments_template to get the comments and comment form.

    If you are using a child theme, you may be able to override those calls in the files that the theme is using.
