Removing buddypress icons

I installed and then uninstalled the buddyPress plugin. I don’t need that functionality at this time. However, the deletion kept the squiggly icons at the bottom of the page. What is the best way of getting rid of them?
(and yes I know the buddypress support forum on their site, creating an account just to ask how to get rid of stuff is kindof naff).
