Are all of your products downloadable? If so, the shipping step in checkout should not appear by default.
No, my products are not downloadable, but we do the delivery to our buyers ourself so there is no need for this module for us. Therefore, we would like to remove it, to ease checkout.

Thanks for clarifying.
From my perspective, I see that it is more efficient to do the following:
1. In WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping > Shipping Options tab, set Shipping Destination to “Force shipping to the customer billing address”
2. In WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping Zones, add a shipping method to “Locations not covered by your other zones”. You can add either a Flat Rate method or Free Shipping method, depending on whether you want to charge customers a fee or ship for free.
In effect, your customers will only be required to enter Billing Details. Once these details are entered, hoping that you don’t have other shipping zones set up, they will automatically be shown a Flat rate shipping fee or Free shipping option, depending on how you set up #2 above.
