There is a setting in Photo Albums -> Settings admin page on Table I item 11. It is named ‘Photocount Treshold‘.
If the number of photos in an album is less than or equal to that number, the photos are regarded as being coverphotos only, and not as real content of the album.
So, if there are, say 3 photos in the album, and the treshold is set at 5, you can have – if you like randomly changing – one out of three photos for the cover, while they do not display as album content.
You will – in that case – also NOT see the text (link) View XX photos.
Be aware of the fact that this is a systemwide setting, so you have to make sure there are more than the treshold value of photos in an album that you want to show the photos as album content.
To play safe, set it to 1, you can have 1 photo (for the cover) and as soon as there are 2 or more photos, they are real content and produce the text(link)
