Remove underline in links

Hi!

I have a question about removing the underline in links in posts. For instance, if I add a hyperlink to a word like, say, “recipe”, this word would be underlined (so as to show that it is link). This however also affects the social media buttons that I have added, which means that the buttons are underlined. Not too pretty. Where do I change this? I have successfully, in the preview of the post, shift and clicked on the underlined word and been able to manually alter the code. However, the change doesn’t stick. It jumps right back after all to the original look.
