To clarify, are you referring to the three columns right underneath the main header, the columns that show pictures of some quarters on some charts, the QuickBooks logo, and a tax form?

If your theme has a built-in custom CSS option, use it; otherwise, get a custom CSS plugin and put:

.front-page-columns-row {
	padding-bottom: 10px;
}

.front-page-columns h2 {
	display: none;
}

You can experiment with different values for the padding.
