remove space between images in a post

In posts, I’m trying to stack images with no space between them, so that multiple images scroll with uninterrupted flow. Also, I’d like to stack two-column galleries the same way, while eliminating the space both in between the two images within a gallery and the two or more galleries themselves.
Any help is much appreciated.

Hi @tinybigdesign,

Stacked “Gallery” blocks set to the same alignment will be displayed with the same vertical spacing as the horizontal one (16px). The regular image block doesn’t behave in this way, but you can add a gallery block with a single image to get the same behavior.

Thanks for your reply.
It’s the 16px spacing that I’m trying to get rid of. I’d like the stacked galleries to touch.

Ah. For that, you’d have to overwrite quite a bit of the WordPress Core CSS for block-styles, since the 16px margin is set there. You could also take a look a custom gallery blocks. There are probably gallery blocks with settings for margins between images.

Success! I found a plug-in called CoBlock that has a gallery display function called “Stacked” that does exactly what I wanted to do. It wasn’t working correctly when I first installed it, but a very recent update to 2.1.0 resolved the problem.
