Remove secondary featured content

I love Expound theme a lot. I used in my wordpress.com blog and I am venturing now into wordpress.org.

I am completely layman when it comes to programming.

well, I saw on several sites using the theme that were removed the second area of featured posts. Leaving only featured the most recent post and the others 4 as the normal area (without the 4 columns) (and of course, climbing the sidebar).

I wonder how I leave my blog without the second area of featured posts.
