Remove “recent posts” H1 tag

    Hi All.
    I’m using twentyeleven & am getting 2 h1 tags on a check!

    Please, can anyone suggest how to change or remove the “recent posts” tag that is also set to H1

    Hello!

    Can you add a link to the page where you are seeing this? This sounds like a code-level change that will have to be done in the theme.

    On the home page I have 3 H1 tags.

    One blank
    One as I have it set & the “Recent posts” one I need to remove. The “recent posts” tag is present on every page?

    Possibly the blank one is due to me removing & leaving blank the site identity heading as I would only like to use the one I set on each page manually?

    I have changed the heading setting in the showcase.php to 6

    <section class=”recent-posts”>
    <h6 class=”showcase-heading”><?php _e( ‘Recent Posts’, ‘twentyeleven’ ); ?></h6>

    Not sure if I’m on the right track here???

    Ok. So I have remover the “recent posts” H1 tag by switching from Rank Math back to Yoast & it has gone! Brilliant!!!

    However, I still have two H1 tags?
    One is as I set for the site title & the other is blank?
    I have checked the page source & I only see the one H1 tag as I have it set myself. For the life of me I cant find the second blank H1 tag anywhere????

    Any ideas people 🙂
