Remove preloaded pages??

I am completely confused at how to edit the pages? When I installed theme i came with pages “home” “about us” “parent page” at the top. When I go to the pages in the admin panel it shows I have 0 pages? I’ve searched everywhere I could think of. I want those pages gone and I want to create my own pages under the admin pages section. I’ve noticed this same thing with multiple themes, they have pre loaded pages that I can’t figure out how to edit.
