I haven’t used WP in about a year and I dont remember this problem before. On most themes that I install there are pre loaded pages at the top. Example Theme: Writee
The writee theme has “Home” “about us” “parent page” all at the top.

So I go into pages on the left admin bar, to edit these pages and it shows there are no pages? I am completely lost. I have this exact same issue with almost every other theme I install.

Pages shows 0, yet I see pages on the website, I want them gone! I want to create my own pages, under the admin pages section.

Remove the menu links under appearance->menus. It sounds like you have invalid menu entries.

I tried that Steve, its showing no menus. I am completely baffled by this. I have no menus, no pages, I checked under the “theme menu” I see nothing that lets me edit this. Thanks for the quick reply tho =)

It may be that because you have no menus defined, your themes are creating one. Create a menu, assign a couple of real pages to it, and set it as the primary nav menu for your theme.

I think that was it! created a menu, made it primary menu and the pages are gone now. Just need to add pages under this menu. sheesh! spent an hour trying to figure this out haha thank a lot Steve.
