Remove Meta box from the Menu screen

I have found similar “how to” remove meta boxes tutorials online, but I have not found a method for what I want to do. I have a custom post type “portfolio” but what I want to do is remove the “Portfolio Categories” meta box (which sits under the “Post Tags” meta box) that shows up on the menu admin screen (and in the Screen Options). I totally want that gone so no one is tempted to add portfolio category links to a menu…I have a built-in filter for that on the front-end.
