Remove Links from Image

First let me tell you that this plugin it’s really nice…
I have a question: is that possible to remove the links from the images?
I just want a static gallery. I’m using WP Gallery Custom Links to put an anchor but it still gets me to the top of the page when I click.Is there any option to completely remove the links (where the cursor doesn’t change).
Another question: Is it possible to put an image on top of another while both images combined keep the same height as the images at their side? I “solved” it but exporting the two images combined but I was looking for a more elegant solution…
