Remove gray effect on hover post in grid layout

Hi, kind of new to this I’m trying to remvove the gray out effect over a post thumbnail when I do a mouse over it. I’m using the grid layout for posts, I’ve tried unchecking the “Fade effect on link hover” in the global settings but no change… Basic install, no plug-in yet, only changes were made through the customizing interface…
