    Hi there,

I’m trying to find the right social share plugin for a website and testing your plugin – it work’s really great, my only issue is with the selection of pages.
First, I’d like to remove the floating buttons from certain pages, is it possible somehow through child-theme’s functions.php with some is_page conditions, or any other way?
Second, I’d like to insert them on some archive, category and search pages. I red in your documentation that your plugin isn’t made to do that, may I ask you why? Is it some technical reason or something else? Because I think for most users that would be a very useful option. I think it’s quite common that people want to share a link with an array of more posts of a specific subject, not just one. (Maybe you could consider that option for a future update of the plugin?)

Anyway, I’d really appreciate if you could help me with my first question.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi cotm,
you can choose to “hide” the floating buttons in certain pages using the metabox.
Just edit the page/post you want to remove the social buttons and find the box called “Cresta Social Share Counter” and check “Hide Icons in this page?”.

Regarding your second question, the reason is technical.
To works, the plug must be used inside the loop.
If you want to add the chance to show the plugin even in archives or serach page, I should re-create the plugin from scratch 🙂

    Best Regards,

    Hi,

thank you very much for the quick help, I have no idea how I missed this 🙂 …

I suspected the reason is technical, but I didn’t think it would mean that much work…

Anyway, thanks again, and have a nice day.
